Yesterday was a really sunny day, so my mate and I decided we’d drive to a lake. Attersee is probably the most popular lake in Upper Austria, not only due to its proximity to Linz and Salzburg. The lake itself is as clear as Caribbean waters – you can see the ground at any time. I really don’t know how they do it but the lake is so clean, I don’t think I’ve ver seen any trash swimming around in it. Every once in a while you’ll have swans swimming by and locals maneuvering their boats around.
As you can see, the view is stunning as you are surrounded by a low mountain range.
The place we went to was called Litzlberg and it’s definitely one of my favorite places to go for a lake day. The facility there is clean and offers some water sport activities as well.
No matter how far I travel or where I go I am always amazed at how clean and colorful Austria is. Every single time I come back from anywhere else – even when I went just over the border to Italy – I realize how insanely green and well looked after our country is. Not to shame any other country here, it’s just those little things you take for granted!
