I have traveled quite a lot in my life and seen a bunch of impressive places but I have never been to a beach so remote and untouched as Pikra Nera. Visiting this beautiful place was part of our boat trip around Ios and probably one of my highlights. There really was no one else around besides the 15 people that were on the boat with us.
The lounge are was built by the guy who apparently owns half of Ios (or at least that’s what our Aussie boat captain told me).
I find it unbelievable that there was a perfectly luxurious lounging area in the middle of nowhere. At any other place they would charge you 50 euros just to walk on the beach. Ios is so positively untouched by mass tourism.
