The new semester at uni started about a month ago, so I’ve been trying to keep my make up and skincare routines as simple and effective as possible. There’s some products I’ve been using a lot for the past month, so I decided to share them with you. Most of them can be used all year round, but I have found myself reaching for them during fall a lot.
1. Dior Boldbrow Tinted Brow Gel
Dior’s marketing department is really busy these days revamping the brand itself as well as the make up line. This tinted brow gel works great and I have been using it for the past few months. It glides on easily and hardly leaves any chunks of tint.
2. Too Faced Matte Bronzing Powder
I have yet to find a bronzer that smells and works as amazing as this one! The Too Faced bronzing powder makes you look a little healthier and contoured in winter. Also, a little goes a long way! Only dab your brush lightly in the pan and it will easily be enough for your whole cheek.
3. MAC Pro Longwear Foundation
This has been my go-to winter foundation for about three years now. I have insanely dry spots on my face and any other foundation immediately shows my fine lines and pores because my skin just sucks up all the moisture. This one though manages to keep my skin hydrated all day long and stays on even when it’s raining or snowing.
4. Chanel No. 5 L’Eau
This fragrance is kind of a hate-it-or-love-it item. I know people who say they think No. 5 smells like toilet cleaner, but I am not one of them. This is a really fresh twist on the original No. 5 I use on the daily.
5. MAC Lipliner in Whirl
Ok, this is a no-brainer. Ever since Kylie Jenner declared Whirl as her favorite lip(over-)liner I have been a fan of this shade. I use it a lot in fall and winter, as it goes well with dark outfits and pale skin.
6. Lanolips Lip Ointment
This little gem has been slumbering in my drawers for quite a while before I dug it up. I bought this at Sephora in France during summer but only recently got to use it. This ointment is definitely on the heavier side and can be used for multiple causes. I like to layer it on my dry and chapped lips before I go to sleep so that I will wake up with a soft and healed pout.
7. The Body Shop Coconut Lip Butter
The Body Shop’s Lip Butter is an item I find myself purchasing every single winter. I don’t know whether it’s the coconut scent that has me dreaming about going on vacation or the light texture. Anyway, I definitely recommend this lip butter.
