De Pijp is Amsterdam super trendy neighborhood and home to an abundance of cute cafés. I have been there many times so far and I still come across places that seem entirely new. Last weekend, some friends and me decided to go out for brunch at Coffee and Coconuts, but when we got there it was crowded. The line was so long you couldn’t even get in. So we decided we would try a different place, as de Pijp has a lot to offer when it comes to brunch.
We went to G’s Really Nice Place, which is located just down the road of Coffee and Coconuts, about right across Omelegg. It is a rather small place that doesn’t stick out too much when walking past it. None of us had heard of it before, so we decided to give it a try. They surely did not disappoint us!
I had some delicious Eggs Benedict with bacon. I really like their sauce hollandaise and their English muffins. My friends had other dishes, that I don’t really remember the name of, but they said it was delicious as well.
Anyway, I can truly recommend this little spot in de Pijp for brunch, as it really is a hidden gem in this busy neighborhood. But make sure you reserve a table!
